The MedicalSeat NEET College Predictor uses historical cutoff data from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), state counselling authorities, and deemed university admissions to estimate your chances of securing a seat in medical colleges across India. By analyzing 5+ years of closing rank trends across All India Quota (AIQ), State Quota, and Institutional Quota seats, our algorithm classifies colleges into Safe, Target, and Dream categories.
What Data Powers the Predictor?
Our prediction engine processes closing ranks from NEET UG counselling rounds conducted by MCC for All India Quota seats, and by state-level authorities for State Quota admissions. The data covers government medical colleges, private medical colleges, deemed universities, ESIC colleges, and AFMC. We update the database after every counselling round to maintain accuracy.
Understanding Safe, Target & Dream Categories
- Safe Colleges (90%+ chance): Your rank is comfortably below the historical closing rank. High probability of admission in these colleges.
- Target Colleges (50-89% chance): Your rank is close to the closing rank. Admission is possible with the right counselling strategy.
- Dream Colleges (below 50% chance): Your rank is above the typical closing rank. Admission requires favorable circumstances like increased seats or lower competition.
Category-Wise Predictions
NEET counselling operates on a reservation-based system. Our predictor provides separate predictions for General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD categories. Each category has different closing ranks, making category-specific predictions essential for accuracy.
State Quota vs All India Quota
In India, 15% of government medical college seats are filled through the All India Quota (AIQ) counselled by MCC, while 85% are filled through state quota counselling. Students from specific states may have a significant advantage under state quota. Our predictor lets you filter by state to see state-specific admission chances.
